All About Mrs. Ailstock
This is my 15th year teaching and I can't believe it's been that long! Most of my career has been spent teaching second and third graders. This is my sixth year teaching third grade at NCES and I love it here!
I graduated with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from Columbus State University in 2007. I received my Masters Degree in Media & Instructional Technology in 2014. I finished my Early Childhood Education Specialist degree in 2020. My first three years in the classroom were in Ocala, Florida. I moved back to Columbus in 2010 and worked at Forrest Road Elementary for six years. While at Forrest Road, I was named the 2014 Teacher of the Year. I also placed in the Top Ten Teachers in Muscogee County in 2014. The kind and generous donors of the Muscogee Educational Excellence Foundation (MEEF) gave me to opportunity to attend Project Zero Classroom at Harvard University during the summer of 2019. It was a great experience and I enjoy incorporating these ideas and methods in my classroom! |
My favorite part of teaching is seeing students succeed in every aspect of their
life - academically, socially, and emotionally. |
My FamilyMy husband, Terry, and I have been married since 2015. We live in the country with our dog, Zeke. We love going on adventures, traveling, and trying new things!
My PetTerry and I have a dog named Zeke that is 4 years old. Zeke is a Pyrenees/Lab mix. He is very sweet and silly! He has learned many tricks including sit, lay down, shake, roll over, stay, and load up (get in the car). He is very smart and knows commands like potty, bedtime, and go home. We are still working on "clean up"! Zeke's favorite toys are a tennis ball and a soccer ball. However, he would rather play keep-away than catch!
